At the beginning of our trip, we will try to introduce you to the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the presentation of the locations we visit, and most important cultural diversity of our country, which is fascinating. Feel free to ask our guide any question, and he will do his best to not leave you without an answer.

Međugorje – St. James Church

After departure and driving through Sarajevo, it will take us 50 minutes to enter the region of Herzegovina. After Mount Ivan, the road takes us along the valley of the beautiful Neretva river through a large number of well-known cultural and touristic locations. During our trip, we will have an opportunity to pass by Konjic and the old bridge. Jablanica is a historical place of the biggest battle between Germans and Partisans during World War II.

At the very exit of Jablanica, we stop for a short break of 10 minutes to freshen up, and at the request of our passengers, maybe try Bosnian coffee. After a short break, the road takes us through one of the most beautiful canyons in this part of Europe, the Neretva River Canyon, where we stop for a few minutes to take a few beautiful and unforgettable photos.

After driving through the Neretva River Canyon we will reach Mostar, and we will enjoy the view of the city from the main road, which is located on the hill above the city itself. After Mostar, finally comes Međugorje, in which we will arrive at 10 am. Our first location is St. James Church where will we have the opportunity to attend the Mass, and after the Mass, if you wish, additional free time. After that our next location is Apparition Hill.

Apparition Hill

From June 24 to 26, 1981, at the location of Crnica in the place Podbrdo which is near the urban zone of Međugorje, six small children witnessed the apparition of the Virgin Mary. The children prayed there and talked with the lady, and she spoke to them with special messages. The most famous is: “I chose this parish in a special way and I want to lead it.”, “Peace, peace, peace – and only peace! May peace reign between God and man and between people!”. Crnica, but today known as a place of the apparition is the biggest Catholic pilgrimage in this part of Europe. It’s visited by millions of pilgrims from around the World.

When we arrive at Podbrdo, we need 20 – 30 minutes walking up the hill to reach the statue of the Virgin Mary and the exact location of the apparition.

It is necessary to mention that during our visit to Apparition Hill, we are not time-limited, as our guests, we believe that this is a special place for you, and a special opportunity to pray and get closer to your God, in a special way and on the special location, and we will stay on Apparition Hill as long as the group decides.

Mostar

After the prayers on the Apparition Hill, the road leads us to the tourist pearl of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is Mostar. After we enter the old town, in agreement with the group, we can organize lunch in one of the beautiful restaurant next to the Old Bridge and admire the beautiful panorama of the old town. After lunch, we go for a walk around the old town, which lasts about an hour, where we first visit Old Bridge, and after that, we go for a leisurely walk through the old town and bazaar.

In Mostar, our guide does his best to tell you about the very turbulent history of this city, what means Mostar, who founded it, who built the Old bridge, why it was demolished during the accession to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and also, In addition, it will be explained to you why this city is unique with its cultural diversity, and we believe that you too will understand why Mostar is one of the most beautiful and intriguing cities in Europe. After the visit to Mostar, we return to Sarajevo, and the drive lasts about 2 hours.
