What to Expect
The tour will begin at 9.00 AM and initially we ll do around 45 min drive from Sarajevo to reach Bijambare Nature Park area.
STOP 1: Bijambare Nature Park & Bijambare Caves
The Bijambare area, well-known for its cave complex, is located on the far north-eastern slopes of Ilijaš, a small town near Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is accessible by the main road Sarajevo-Olovo, from which an asphalt road branches out leading towards a mountain home and the especially known Bijambare cave. Large parts of these caves are open to visitors.
Optimum height above sea level (950 m on average), thick conifer woods, meadows, two water flows with lakes and chasms, five caves, rocky massif and high quality air provide ideal conditions for alpinism, speleology skiing, mushroom picking, medicinal herb picking, or simply for nature excursions and visits.
The middle part of Bijambare is a karst enclave with all its commonly observed characteristics: caves, lost rivers, intriguing funnel-shaped depressions and rocky massifs. There are five caves located in three horizons, in a pretty small area. One of these caves is especially popular- the Bijambare cave, which has been a popular tourist spot and a speleological site for a long time. The cave is 420 m long (basic direction without individual branches), with four halls with rich ornaments of all known creation forms: lateral blocks, stalactites, casts, stalagmites and curtains. The fourth hall is the biggest (around 60 m in diameter and 15–30 m in height). It is also called the "music hall" for its acoustic effects.
STOP 2: Valley of Bosnian Pyramids & Tunnel Complex
The Bosnian pyramid complex is a pseudoarchaeological notion to explain the formation of a cluster of natural hills in the area of Visoko in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. Direct study of the site by geologists, archaeologists, and other scientists have demonstrated that the hills are natural formations known as flatirons and that there is no evidence that they were shaped by human construction.
Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun aged roughly 12.000 years, with perfect cardinal points and Northern orientation.

STOP 3: Springs of River Bosna Nature Park
Reach the main attraction in Ilidža some 3.5 km along the alley of plane trees and chestnut trees, namely, the spring of the Bosna River, at the foot of Mt. Igman. The alley is made of two rows of 762 plane trees planted in 1892 and dozens of horse chestnut trees as surely the most beautiful tree row in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On the way back to Sarajevo we will make extra stop at famous Roman Bridge.
